WHO ON EARTH IS CINDY LESCARBEAU?
Cindy Freed Lescarbeau is an author, playwright, poet, and international speaker. She is also the founder and director of FREED Performing Arts, Inc. in Ormond Beach, Florida, where her plays are performed on stage. Her writings appear in four periodicals, including Clubhouse Jr. Magazine by Focus on the Family and in her theatrical speaking for Winning Women for Christ and other women’s and children’s events.
Cindy has received thirteen awards for her children’s books and short stories. She is a member of Word Weavers International and was honored as their 2020 Writer of the Year. Cindy’s other memberships include The Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, The Jane Austen Society of North America, and the Advanced Writers & Speakers Association.
She loves reading at the beach with her husband, Stephen, and exploring new coffee shops with their adult children and spouses. Cindy’s favorite writing distractions include story time at her local public library with her grandson, Charlie, and playing with her cats, Mr. Darcy and Creamsicle.
